Sean D is absolutely correct. Ray Kunkel and Alpha Home Services is a crook. He did to me what he did to Sean. He acts professional and requests money in small increment. Then he justifies the previous payment without showing the requisite work accomplished by making up some excuse of renting something or some other expense RAY KUNKEL IS A CROOK DO NOT HIRE HIM.

In some respects I feel badly writing this review. Based on the only other Yelp review (5-star), I took a chance and decided to work with Ray on some home renovations. Ray was a very nice guy, very enthusiastic, seemed knowledgeable about his craft, gave me a Yelp discount, and after some initial scheduling issues we got started. Then, for reasons unknown/unexplained to me, work just...stopped. After emails, text, and voice messages, I couldn't even get through to Ray. Communication stopped, the work stopped. His tools, equipment, etc. are all still at my house. Does anyone need a step ladder? I had high hopes since everything was going so smoothly at the beginning... read full review
