About Thomas Pools and Spas
Thomas Pools and Spas is a family-owned business specializing in building pools and spas. Customers praise the company for its good prices, smooth construction process, and dedicated owner, Todd. He is described as being present throughout the entire process and readily available to answer questions and address concerns even after the project is complete. One customer highlights the peace of mind that comes from Todd's ongoing support and commitment to customer satisfaction. Another customer, however, expresses dissatisfaction with the communication and responsiveness of the company regarding repairs for mistakes made during construction. They mention issues with tile installation, railing placement, and chemical balancing, which led to black mold growth in their newly built pool. Despite these issues, the customer acknowledges the beauty of the pool itself. Overall, Thomas Pools and Spas receives positive feedback for its customer service and quality of workmanship, but potential customers should be aware of the possibility of communication and repair issues.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM! If you are thinking of getting a pool, find a company who won’t waste your time and is more organized and more customer centered. We dealt with their lack of communication and organization from February 25th - July 11th, and are still dealing with them after the pool has been done. Please feel free to PM me if you want details. But the short version (because FB won't let me explain it all) is that we had trash left in our back yard; our walkway was impeded; our fence was broken; our backyard was a total disaster and the water in the pool before filling was disgusting and a health hazard. The rebar and concrete crews left rebar and nails sticking out that stabbed both my son and my dogs - so we had to take care of it and do their job. We were told we would get two weeks of cleaning, nope. Should have been disclosed but wasn't: Can't swim for 10 days! Pump has to run 24 hours for several days Less then a month and gaskets are coming off, plaster is bubbling, and pool equipment is acting up. Kaytea Thomas, the “Project Manager” lacks customer service and communication and scheduling skills. Even now after the pool is done she has yet to be out to the site. She pawned us off on to Greg and Ryan, both who are sales guys and have that job to do. The pool was over dug from the beginning and we were told in April it wouldn’t be anymore then $2500. It ended up being $4000! We were even told that Thomas Pools & Spas “had to eat $1000 in stone to make this right.” only to find out that they really didn’t because no extra stone was needed. We always had to ask about scheduling. Not sure if anything would have even gotten done had we not take the initiative to ask.
After 6 pool quotes we chose Thomas pools. Todd, the owner/builder is amazing to work with! He bends over backwards to make the home owner happy! Greg the estimater listens and designs exactly what u ask for the first time. Our family couldn’t not be happier. You would be crazy not to get a quote from Thomas pools!!
