Manor Cleaners

This is the third time I’ve come to this place. I arrived with four clothing items that needed fixing. As soon as I got there, I said I needed a quote for the service. The person helping me wrote down how much it would cost, and when I went to take the paper, she removed it from my hand and said, “No. Do you want me to fix it or not?” I said again that I was looking for a quote to compare with other places. She took the quote away and said, “You either do it or not.”

Usually OK, but they wanted to dryclean some cotton items that clearly didn't need to be dry cleaned. There's a bit of a language barrier as well. The woman who waited on me wasn't the usual one (I think she's somebody's sister) and doesn't have anything invested in providing good service. I pointed out to her that one item didn't need to be ironed and she kept yammering on about how the hot press they use would not be good for it (based on the tag). So I guess they just can't wash something, dry it, then hang it up. Too much like work.

I won't be back. I'd been there before, dropped them for a similar issue, then went back.
