My in-laws were hoping to take a break from gardening so called Salinas Landscaping and was given a quote of $500 for them to give a full trim of all the small trees and bushes as well as a a cleanup of the bit of planters that they have around their small mobile home. They paid him when he arrived but left before he was done. When they returned the yard was a mess! There was debris everywhere! I called Bernardo and explained that we expected the job to be completed in one day. He came back out and when I said I was disappointed that the leaves and branches that were left everywhere weren't at least put in the yard waste and that he didn't even finish cutting the small palm I asked him to cut he got very angry with me. I told him I paid him very well and for him to not even complete the job was upsetting. He told me he does houses in montecito all the time and he never takes away or even picks up the leaves or branches he cuts. He left my in-laws house without finishing the job and with all of their money. Stay away from this company unless you like having your money stolen and your yard left worse than before you called. They enjoy taking advantage of senior citizens the most.

I hired this co. to install as a sub contractor for 2 jobs after doing a number of installations which they tried to rip me off . They crew tried to install less class 2 road base under the pavers & very little concrete under the border even after they were caught each time. They were in the middle of installing 2 walkways which they removed no soil & laid class 2 base over the plants while the other one wasn't leveled properly & needed to be redone, they just disappeared. The owner Leo said Emanual Galicia the guy in charge was in jail for DWI from a year ago. I check & it was a lie. Leo refused to finish the installations & haven't heard from him for almost 2 months. I know people that have seen this installer around town. I will have to go after this contractors Bond for the money I've spent & file 2 complaints against contractors license. The State Contractors Board will go after him for these 2 violations. If you hire a co. to install anything check them out & the subs they hire. I would never do that to a customer.
