Alex got on the floor with dogs and started talking to them like they were old friends. He did the full exam while sitting on the floor petting and calming them. This Vet Alex truly loves his job!! He explained his reasoning for the meds he chose and how to administer them. The doctors are very experienced and thorough and they explain clearly what they see and recommend. The staff is efficient and kind.
Brought my brand new kittens is for a well check visit with Dr. Nicola Mohr and it was a great visit. Dr. Mohr is so knowledgeable and helpful with questions about the kittens I felt really good leaving the appointment. Dr. Mohr has taken care of many of my previous pets and she even remembered my girl Willow who she operated on and who passed away 7+ years prior. Super impressive, but it just goes to show how competent she is and how caring she is towards any animals brought her way. I really like and trust Dr. Mohr and all the veterinarians at Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital. I highly recommend this hospital for all your pet needs.

Our golden retriever had her spay procedure yesterday. Dr. Rahm did a great job communicating how well it went. We have always had a great experience with their staff. You can tell everyone there truly cares for each animal that comes in. We couldn’t recommend this vet hospital more. Thank you for taking such great care of our girl!

This review is especially for Dr Alex Rahm. He saw both of my senior kitties for the first time this past year. Dr Rahm took time to get to know each animal in a warm and affectionate way. He won their trust in order to give them a thorough examination, and also paid careful attention to my input and questions. He got down on the floor with my big cat Raul in order to cradle him and gently manipulate his paws, checking on the progression of his arthritis. Wow!
Dr Rahm was also able to see enough of my other cat Zazie’s teeth to spot and show me an infected molar. I understand that examining an animal’s teeth can be a challenge, but I think vets might at least try!… read full review
