I can't really say anything more positive about the CVC practice than scores of other patients have stated already... ...but I thought I could share some personal experience from the perspective of a retired engineer, who also professionally worked with optical systems in the past. During the initial exam, a patient is offered an option of the digital scan of the retinas. This costs some $39 extra but it is money extremely well spent, especially if one plans on having his eyes examined on regular (annual, e.g.) basis at the CVC. The main advantage of the digital scan vs. dilation-based "manual" exam is that it allows for record keeping and comparison vs. past images (plus the dilation makes patients really light-sensitive for a good couple of hours!) In my particular case, it allowed for an early detection of the cataract (as cataract develops, the retina image becomes progressively blurred), but I am sure far more complex eye defects can be spotted that way before they become more serious! I realize this may sound like a sales pitch but I have witnessed first-hand the benefits of the procedure! Finally, many thanks to Dr. Schneider for all the help and time spent with me over those many years I've been seeing him!

The doctors and staff at Camarillo Vision Center are great! They are warm, welcoming, professional, and knowledgeable. Dr. Chow takes time to explain eye anatomy and health during the exam. They also make ordering contact lenses hassle-free; my contacts were delivered right to my house. If you're looking for an eye doctor, Camarillo Vision Center is my first choice.
