We were looking for someplace relaxing, beautiful, not too expensive, warmer than Oregon & <3 hrs by plane. This place far exceeded our expectations!Nearby activities: Beautiful desert trails close by.
Standard 2-3 star accommodations with basic in-room amenities. Room looked old and could use some updating/renovation, but it was clean and comfortable. You could hear the guests above walking and the smoke detector was beeping with a “low battery” signal all night.
I love this resort. It's HUGE! Giant swimming pool to myself. I think I went during the wrong season! OMG - it was so hot in August. Even at night, it was above 90 degrees! But the night sky was spectacular. We hired a local guide to show us the starry night and I got to see Saturn! I've only seen Saturn in books before, never with my own eyes through a telescope. Try to avoid going there in the summer; I am sure you would have a better experience!Rooms: spacious but because of the heat, beware of bugs and critersNearby activities: get a local guide to help guide and navigate for you. need a car to get around. go see the dragon!!! what a sight to behold!
