Finally, I had enough: So, I called Galvin Irrigation. Friday, Mr Galvin appeared almost instantly and found (confirmed) the bad valve that was leaking and sticking. Mr Galvin replaced the guts in the leaking-sticking valve with new, improved guts. The new guts allow the valve to be operated manually! I tested the timer and the new valve worked flawlessly. So, since we were deep within the sticking-leaking valve project: I asked him to order guts for the other three valves. He said yes, good idea, but he couldn't get the parts until next week. No problem! Monday, he returned, replaced, and, tested manually. I tested using the timer, and, my system is working perfectly.
