I can’t say enough good things about Jim Allen’s shop. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with honesty, professionalism, and genuine care. Brett, the owner, and his helper Jared were both incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything they found without ever making me feel pressured.

They serviced my transmission and also tracked down and resolved a fuel/air gap issue that had been causing problems. Instead of just throwing parts at the truck, they took the time to properly diagnose the issue and fix it the right way. It’s obvious they take pride in their work and stand behind it.

Transmission started to leak on the way up to Yosemite and caused my 4Runner to start smoking. Bret was able to see us within 30 minutes after we called and the car was ready to go in an hour and a half. We called many other places who were booked until the following week, so we really appreciated Bret’s quick diagnosis and turnaround. He was friendly and down to earth as well.

My diesel truck broke down on Mammoth mountain. The mechanics on the mountain laughed at me and refused to help me.
I called Allen and he gave me free advice over the phone. When that didn't work. I had it towed to him. He was able to diagnose it and fix it in a couple of hours. He prevented a headache for me. I was able to get home.
