My mother-in-law is already over eighty years old and has suffered from acid reflux for more than fifty years. She used to rely on Western medicine to control it and was in a lot of discomfort. She really didn’t want to keep taking Western drugs long-term. Then one day, by chance, she heard on the Chinese radio station 1300 about a traditional Chinese medicine doctor who’s really good at treating acid reflux.

On March 17, 2026, she went to see Dr. Jianghua Liu with the attitude of just giving it a try. She received acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, and Chinese herbs. From March 17 until the end of April, she hasn’t taken any Western medicine for her stomach acid at all.
