I'm a mother of 4 who has been told that my children are lazy, immature, and lack motivation. I've done countless tests for eyes, ears, speech, and ADHD; only to be told they are fine smart children who are uninterested in school. I knew my children were not fine, I just wished someone would see they needed help! All of my children struggled with reading, writing, and spelling in varying degrees. I took my 3rd child (senior in high school) and my 4th child to Dr. Odineal for a consultation. It was clear that my 4th child would definitely benefit from her program, but my 3rd was questionable. I decided to do a more thorough testing with my 3rd child and it became evident he too would benefit from vision therapy. I can tell you his reading increased 2.5 grade levels! My 4th child took longer, but it was worth it! Not only has his reading improved, but so has his tracking, coordination, sense of direction , and letter reversals. Dr. Odineal and ALL of her staff are there to see not only their patients improve, but also their families succeed. They are there when it's difficult, they are there when it's time to celebrate, and every step in between. The support, concern, and desire for success they have for every being that walks through their doors is immeasurable. Do the work, put in the time, and it will not go unrewarded!
