We were in a hard place with our pooch. She was in a lot of pain and needed to be seen asap. Our regular vet would not squeeze her in. It’s torture watching your family pet member suffer and not be able to help. Atwater Vet Center worked us in as new clients and were so caring and understanding. They helped make the worst a little less awful with their compassion. This is now our regular vet. We live this place!

I was visiting family in Merced when my beloved 14-year-old pooch's health took a turn for the worse. She had been sick for two years, so this wasn't unexpected, but it was still incredibly difficult for me. The one bright spot was that Atwater Veterinary Center offered us quick and very compassionate care. They were able to book an emergency appointment, and I brought my dog in mere minutes after getting off the phone. Unfortunately, my dog needed to be euthanized, and all of the staff were so empathetic and gave me as much time as I needed with my dog. They were able to secure an urgent appointment for my pet on same day. Despite a very busy waiting area, the staff remained friendly, calm and professional.The doctor's exam was through and informative with excellent communication skills.Thank you all...for providing excellent medical care to our devoted furry and no furry companions
