Jason has now refinished two pieces for us: a small buffet that belonged to my mother and a bed that belonged to both my grandparents and my great-grandparents. On both occasions he took the furniture, which had some problems, and refinished each piece beautifully. Working with very imperfect materials he made both the buffet and the bed perfect. We are very grateful. But be aware, Jason is not dirt cheap. You are paying for craftsman quality work which will last long after you are gone- if the furniture is properly cared for!?
I received a solid dining table from my mother-in-law … solid, but not exactly my style. However, while I’m not sure what my style is, that table wasn’t exactly it. After conferring with Jason, who met with in my home and listed all my options, we decided on painting it a dark grey. He kept me in the process with frequent posts. Upon delivery, gave me specific directions on how to care for my new “eclectic” beautiful dining table. Yes, that’s my style … eclectic, and now I need new chairs. Thank you, Jason, for the amazing transformation. You are a true artist!!
Never having gone down the road of refinishing, we were very fortunate to recently work with Jason. He graciously assessed the piece at a local antique mall prior to purchase. What a help this was! We learned the wood was worthy and what a difference it made as the hutch had a nearly impenetrable finish. Jason had to not only strip the piece, but then sand out the stain deep within the wood. Not sure how he managed it, but it’s allowed us to see the beautiful grain and decide how to go forward.Working within our budget, this is where we stopped. Yet we wouldn’t have hesitated to have Jason finish the piece. We liked him a lot, and learned a lot along the way, too.
