Effective Relief for Severe Constipation: Rating: (4/5) I've been dealing with chronic constipation for years, trying everything from stool softeners to prunes, which worked until recently. A few weeks ago, the prunes stopped working, and I had no bowel movements for days. The stomach pain became unbearable, so I consulted a virtual care doctor, who advised me to go to the ER. At French Hospital, after an MRI, Dr. Tyler Slocum told me there were no structural issues with my colon, but it was full of stool. Despite my request for an enema, he prescribed "Golytely" instead. This medication is typically used to clear out the colon before a colonoscopy, and drinking it was a miserable experience. Worse still, it didn't work at all, and I later learned it's not recommended for people with constipation. I searched online and found Kelley at Thrive. I left her a message, and she called me back almost immediately, even though it was late on a Sunday. Kelley was incredibly concerned about my situation and offered to see me that evening, but I decided to wait until the next day. When I arrived at her office, I was relieved to find a clean and calming environment. Kelley was kind and professional, taking the time to explain the procedure in detail. A small, sterile tube was gently inserted, and warm, filtered water was used to loosen and flush out the waste that had built up in my colon. Kelley monitored the process closely, and I experienced only minimal discomfort. Because of the severity of my condition, Kelley estimated that it might take up to five visits to fully clear my colon. By the end of the fourth session, I felt the relief I had been desperately seeking--the bloating and pain were gone. I felt lighter, more energized, and unburdened. It's been a week since my last visit, and I've had regular bowel movements every day since. I plan to have a monthly session to keep my colon clean and not revisit my prior condition. My dad was completely backed up and really needed to be cleaned out. (It took two sessions) Kelly took her time to explain the process and make him completely comfortable and at ease during the whole process. She also went beyond and gave some really good suggestions to help him with his digestion as well as some other issues he was worried about having to do with nutrition and digestion. She was completely accessible and flexible with her schedule. He will be defiantly going back and I will be scheduling an appointment as well.
Love Debbie and how she stands for true health. She always tries her best to make time if I'm in need to make a last minute appt if she can. For everyone complaining about her not wearing a mask, then simply DON'T GO. This is a private business and she can wear or not wear one of she likes. She has never forbit anyone from wearing one if they choose to.
