y wife and I have taken our dogs here since the early 1980s. Dr. Peterson has always taken great care of our 7 dogs through the years. Very caring and professional. The ONLY time I took one of our dogs to another vet (a VCA), she was misdiagnosed. Our Wolf/Malamute was right at 16 yrs (had him since 5 weeks) and needed our extra attention in his last days. Our Ausie who was 14.5 yrs had a growth the VCA vet said was benign. It turned out to be cancer and of course Dr. Peterson caught it. It's September 2024 and we live far away now, but still go to Dr. Peterson at Las Tunas Dee and Dr Peterson are great. Las Tunas Animal Hospital can be trusted with our precious animals!
We couldn't be happier with these guys. Very family friendly and down to earth. Very very organized and on top of their game. It's an old school approach that you don't find much anymore. We are grateful we found them.

I've had great experiences with Las Tunas Hospital. The first time was over a year ago for two yorkies with teeth extractions and today for a rabies shot. Both times I had no problem setting up an appointment, and both times the dogs were seen quickly and everyone is friendly. I even asked about my dog with diarrhea (no appointment) and the doctor offered to get the bloodwork faxed over. As I was asking about the diarrhea, the vet tech pulled her prior labs to show the doctor. At the end of the appointment I asked if I can have a copy of the vaccine and they had everything ready to go. This place is so efficient and so helpful! They go above and beyond.
