Alterations at Nordstrom

Went in after buying a skirt that was too long and had seen they offer free alterations via their signs in the dressing room. The sign had a list of free services listed for alterations and under that list said "skirt/dress hemming". The skirt was bought full-price in Nordstrom so I figured it would qualify. Had the seamstress come and pin the skirt and was then quoted, 150 dollars for the alterations (mind you the skirt was 75 dollars). I was ushered to the counter to check out and given no time to ask about the price, so once I was at the counter I asked the cashier why I was being charged for hemming a skirt. She called alterations and they sent up a new lady. That lady immediately had attitude and told me "this is not free because this skirt is from Hollister" without even looking at the skirt. I then proceeded to show her the receipt from Nordstrom. She then backtracked and came up with some other excuse about how the skirt is too wide of a diameter even though this is no where listed as a reason for not offering free skirt hemming on the sign. Entire bait and switch tactic, do not understand why a large corporation needs to milk ever last dime out of their loyal customers. 0/10 do not recommend, use your local alteration shops instead because you prolly won't get free alterations anyways.

They do the perfect original hem on jeans. You'd think any tailor would be able to do it but nope. Gave them 3 pair and all came back perfect. The gentleman was very nice and professional as well. They told me to give them 2 weeks but my order was read in 6 days. Thank you!

They lost my clothes! All of my time and effort buying the clothes, taking it into the store to get tailored, and trying to pick it up were wasted. They did refund me the cost I paid for the clothes but I bought them on sale and cannot now repurchase them for the same price.
