The atmosphere in the office is relaxed. Karen, his receptionist has also been there forever and is the perfect face of the practice

Dr. Shively is the best out there. My husband and I moved to Oregon, and we would schedule our bi-annual appointments around our visits to Santa Cruz to see our kids. He is gentle, kind, and a master at his craft. His office runs smoothly, and the staff is caring and will do what they can to work with your schedule. 5 star dentist in Aptos, Ca

Dr. Shively is the best dentist that I have ever seen. He is a real pro and not quick to drill or add on work that you really don't need. I can tell that he's not in it for the money. He is conservative and thoughtful in his decisions and is very likable and has a great way of making me feel very comfortable about dental work. Because he is older than me, my greatest fear about dentistry now is that he may not do it forever.
