Richard is by far the best Acupuncturist I have been treated by, and I have been to a lot of different Acupuncturists over time. He carries a lighthearted, positive, and optimistic attitude into his practice with clients. He has helped me with many issues, and every treatment made me walk out the door feeling 10x better than before. I highly recommend Richard with 5 Stars!

My entire household has been Richard's patients for almost 2 years now. He helped my neurological issues when 8 other conventional medicine physicians couldn't. I was a young woman who walked with a cane it was so bad. In about 3 treatments, I didn't need a cane anymore. AMAZING!

I have been a patient of this beautiful Acupuncture Wellness center since Richard Weissman first relocated and decided to re-establish his practice in this area in 2014. He had been in the bay area and had a thriving practice for many years prior to the move to our area. In that time, Richard has resolved many of my health issues. Because of his professional skills, his attention to detail, and his broad knowledge of Chinese medicine and herbal supplements, I have been able to regain my health without drugs, needless surgeries, or other far more invasive treatments that Western medicine is so fond of utilizing. He resolved my sciatica in one visit, after I had suffered with it off and on for 4 years. Three treatments to get control of my anxiety. Two treatments for my elbow pain. Plantar Fasciitis, relieved in 5 treatments and it hasn't returned. My body responds very well to Richard's treatments. Tendinitis, sinus/allergy problems, severe neck pain, joint pain, all resolved under Richard's knowledgeable care. For decades I suffered at least once a year from acute bronchitis, usually due to pollen and other allergens. Thanks to the herbal formulas he recommended, my lung health has improved greatly and as a result, I have not had a case of bronchitis in 6 years. I fully attribute this life-changing result to the care I received at Acupuncture Wellness Center. I should mention that not every person or case will respond to the treatments in exactly the same way, I have discovered for myself that I need to give it plenty of time. You should plan on at least 5 or 6 treatments, in order to give it a chance to resolve the discomfort that is being caused by your own personal health issues. Richard and his staff are very friendly, kind, helpful and knowledgeable. In addition, from the first news of and throughout the virus outbreak, masks have been worn correctly and they have been diligent with taking the everyone's temperature upon their arrival. They request our use of hand sanitizer and keep it available at all times. The rooms are thoroughly disinfected after each patient and care is taken with regard to everyone to help prevent contact between patients even while waiting to be seen. I have witnessed these procedures many times. Patients are asked to wait outside or in their vehicle when necessary. The wait is seldom more than a few minutes and I myself have never been expected to share close space with anyone. While visiting, I have never felt as though my health or the health of other patients was in jeopardy with regard to the covid outbreak. Bottom Line: If you have never tried acupuncture, I can recommend it to relieve pain, resolve anxiety, alleviate symptoms or assist with an overall sense of well-being. You and your loved ones owe it to yourselves to give acupuncture a try. Obviously, not everyone can come to Acupuncture Wellness Center to see Richard, but if you live in Calaveras County or in a neighboring community, I feel it's an excellent place to enjoy your first experience. You will be greeted and treated like family and chances are you will be very happy with your treatment results.
