Excellent experience with this company. I went through Orkin and they subcontracted to Your Way Fumigation. Was concerned about subcontracting the work, but this is very serious specific work, so made sense, and I trust my Orkin inspector. The guys who came showed up on time and were professional, friendly and helpful. And they kicked ass getting everything in place and making sure food was double bagged and drawers/closets/etc. were open so no gas could get trapped. I let the neighbors no we would be gone and to keep a lookout for break-ins while the house is empty. I came home to tent off and only slightest disturbance (few insulation bits out of attic). Bugs are gone. Yay! Would definitely recommend Your Way Fumigation and Orkin.
After putting it off for numerous years, we finally decided to fumigate our house for termites. We have a two-story house with solar panels on the top, multiple plants surrounding the house, and needed to tent our outdoor grill and garage as well. I was so impressed with how thorough and careful Romero and his team were. I had forgotten to bag the food in the small fridge/freezer in the garage and they caught that and did it for me without an additional charge. They carefully tented around all our plants/trees, including wrapping around my small vegetable garden (I hadn't even asked them to do that). Because of their careful prep process, there was no damage to any structures nor any trees/plants.They were on time and right on schedule. I couldn't have asked for a better experience for the not-fun experience of tenting for termites.
(((Read Justine H.'s description of service! Bravo and I agree with her!))) TIP: if you use a high profile termite exterminating company, ASK WHO...is their sub-contractor. If they answer: "Your Way Fumigation," you can feel confident and assured! These guys ROCK. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because of couple of little snags for an otherwise outstanding experience... 1) The primary company (Orkin, whom we also know satisfaction) perhaps blew through a couple of MINOR things we addressed the day of tenting. Specifically, you really DO gotta have EVERY drawer, cupboard door and closet partially opened! WHY? Because they absolutely want to dispel ANYWHERE in your home in which gas could be "trapped" or slowed in diffusing on Day 2. (I noticed there's a review here which infers their bedroom drawers were ransacked. Unlikely. Instead, the techs probably just pulled them open for the aforementioned reason!) PS: this includes DRYER doors and ovens, too! 2) We were told that we are to trim-back landscaping with enough room for the tenting tarp to "drape" between the building and the plant. Your Way did NOT do this -- BUT -- our hedges/bushes survived JUST FINE! (These leads me to believe this instruction is likely to avert ANY chance of damage to a plant's survival.) While we DID experience minor broken or roughed-up bushes...one has to consider what the experience is; i.e., you have heavy tenting being unfurled from rooftop down to the ground below. I believe the experience is understandable.) 3) Did y'all know that if you have a CAR PARKED in underground parking, not only must you have the windows cracked -- BUT -- you gotta have the TRUNK OPENED!?! D'oh! We did not know this from Orkin, so it's arguably Your Way and Orkin should review their info so that when Orkin does their "quick clinic" for tenting prep -- all is known. I had one neighbor who had already driven 20 miles to their lodging. They had to turn around and come back to open a car trunk. (They hadn't left any car keys behind.) Finally 4), this is minor -- but I just hate making people WAIT for me! Ugh! That's just ME. But on the de-tenting day they waited until they were almost finished to call me. My drive was a half-hour. But the crew foreman reassured me it was AOK he waited. But I WILL say they had indicated they'd likely be done by 9AM on day 3. I'll be darned. It was 8:30 on the posted notice. LOL! OK. This was my FIRST time at the rodeo! But to me, these guys are: Pro. Absolutely thorough. Amazingly fast and complete. Friendly. Obvious REAL "team spirit" among the crew. Attentive to my concerns. Their materials/trucks are pro and appear in great shape. I volunteered to commandeer this "project" for our little HOA. We are six residents in units ranging from 850 s/f to 1300 s/f on two levels with underground parking. The day of tenting they arrived promptly; all congenial -- but they were ROCKIN. These guys know their stuff and work like a machine getting it done! I escorted the designated crew member for reviewing each of the units for compliance/ready-to-go status. With robot-like precision we breezed through each unit. A couple neighbors failed on a few items that needed bagging. (My understanding is that if THEY do it it's more $$$.) The neighbors and I complied lickity-split. The crew likely gets asked the SAME things a zillion times by (us clueless) clients, but the attitude was friendly, helpful and understanding to get-the-job-done. No condescension or rolling of eyes. I left the keys with them for six units who's total real estate value is likely around $6 million! NO INCIDENTS! EVERYTHING AOK! IMO, this industry is competitive and the winners work hard to preserve their reputations --AND--the ability for continued relations with top-end, high profile companies -- like Orkin! THEIR OFFICE STAFF = 5 star. I was VERY impressed. A woman contacted me the day of the tenting to regretfully inform that high winds made the start-up impossib
