On the verge of almost becoming a homeless veteran, I came to this VFW post in hopes to charge my phone so I can get some help. I was broke and had no transportation. Once I got there I asked if I could charge my phone there and they allowed me and said I could sit at the bar with them despite me being drenched from walking in the rain. I politely refused and sat by myself on the other side of the establishment. Eventually a guy by the name of Jason came to talk to me and offered to buy me a drink and eventually offer me a ride to the old town trolley so I could get home.Maybe this won't help everyone with this story.
