When my hairstylist began her 4-month-long maternity leave, I dreaded the job of finding someone to cut my very thick, short , weird hair (one size grows straight out, and the other grows straight down.). I considered and contacted 5 salons on Yelp. Swanky Salon owner Melissa, understood my concern best - she responded right away saying she had two stylists who specialize in cutting short hair. Would I like to make an appointment? Well, I just came home delighted with a beautiful cut by Irene. She got me immediately. AND is also such a lovely human being -- just an all round pleasure. And that includes Melissa and the whole staff at Swanky -- I recommend this salon and Irene without reservation!

I was looking for a reputable salon after being a client with a stylist that rents space at John of Italy. I set up a project via yelp and asked for a single process and highlight specialist and I was really happy with the response I received from the salon so I made an appointment and I came with my toddler. The second I met Irene I fell in love with her. Not only if she's such a skilled and talented, stylist and colorist, but she really has such an amazing rapport with children. She invited my daughter to taste some Girl Scout cookies, and then gave us the contents of the box! My hair was a complete mess in terms of my highlights, growing out my length my roots everything. Irene took her time and created a masterpiece, and now I feel like I can run for president with his hair! She offered to wash and blow dry my toddlers hair, and it was her first experience in real salon, and she had such a blast! Thank you so much for the best day of beauty experience!

I visited Swanky Salon for the first time after moving to town and received a haircut from Shannon. Luckily, I was able to book an appointment with her on the same day. Shannon did an outstanding job, and I was thrilled with how my hair turned out after the cut. Moreover, she offered some fantastic advice on hair care. I'm delighted with my experience and would "DEFINITELY" recommend Shannon and Swanky Salon :-)
