My 4 year old is very sensitive to sensory items like textures and sounds and any time we get a hair cut it turns into a full 1-2 hour melt down claiming it hurts, he feels itchy and the sound of the clippers hurts his ears. Jo helped us today and it was the fastest hair cut we have had and with no tears. She took her time to make sure he was comfortable and informed about everything she would be doing every step of the way. Our usual goal for a hair cut is to get in and out and as long as he comes out with shorter hair it is a win in our books. He came home today with the best looking hair cut I think he has ever had and I didn’t have to deal with him still crying / screaming when we walked out the door.
