When my freshly imported RX7 was vandalized, I died inside thinking it was going to be written off. Candy Autobody was recommended to me by a friend. I cannot express how glad I am for choosing them. Steve worked with me to make sure the estimate was lower than what we both thought the book value would be. He told me exactly what the process would be and assured me the car would look normal after (it had roof line damage which I thought would for sure make it a writeoff). ICBC approved his estimate and I got to keep my car. When I got it back, I was stunned. You could not tell it was ever smashed with rocks... And the paint was way nicer than stock, too. He even redid my hood 5 times because he wasn't satisfied with the clear coat! That's dedication. Steve and company clearly love their work, and it's reflected in the amazing job they do. If you care about your car's appearance and want the job done right, take it to Candy.

★★★★★ We took our Jeep Commander to Steve & Linda in Oct 2015. We had not dealt with an autobody shop in about 20 years so I did my research and contacted 4 shortlisted local shops. Candy Autobody was the 4th. 2 of the 3 "well known / popular" local shops got back to me with stock answers to my inquiries, 1 shop didn't respond at all... and then there was Steve's response. The last sentence in his very detailed and thoughtful reply to me was this: "I would be honoured to repair your Jeep and hope you will tell everyone what a wonderful experience you had with us." We went to visit Steve the very next day. He greeted us with a smile and showed me around the shop, making me feel right at home and not rushing me out so he could back to work. Long story short, both my wife and I ended up making an easy decision on-the-spot that Candy Autobody was where we were going to take our beloved Jeep Commander. You should do the same. Don't take my word for it... let the quality service that we received speak for itself! ► Steve found *countless* defects and damage ABOVE what ICBC had estimated (barely detectable small things as well as bigger obvious ones) ► He negotiated (i.e., fought? :) with ICBC to give us a new windshield since it was chipped from the accident... and ICBC didn't want to replace it. ► He replaced my leaking water pump at no charge (I supplied the parts and was willing to pay for this extra service, but he insisted to do it as a thank you for bringing our Jeep to him) ► He repaired a couple of small paint chips unrelated to the accident (no charge) ► He cleaned up some minor rust on an interior (hidden) support behind the bumper, and then proceeded to paint the entire section (nobody would have known since it's all hidden, but it was important to him and his quality standards!) ► He coated the interior of the frame rail that was repaired with wax oil to protect it from rust (again, nobody would have known!) ► His paint job was better than factory (no orange peal in the paint!) ► The aftermarket headlights weren’t perfectly aligned. We noticed when he finished the job. I wasn’t satisfied with it, and nor was he!, so he got ICBC to replace them with OEM ones (now they are perfect again!) ► Jeep was delivered to us polished and cleaned inside and out ► The coolant and distilled water that I provided, that was left over from the water pump replacement, was sitting neatly in the back of the Jeep in the bottle (he could have simply discarded it, but now I can use it for topping up) ► We walked away with a photo archive of no less than 59 photos and 1 video (that he would post on Facebook during the entire repair). For me, this was huge... to be able to watch the progress and interact with Steve along the way kept me involved throughout the whole experience. ►►► He treated our Commander in exactly the same way we do; with pride, love and detailed care! It turns out that finishing our Jeep Commander repair was the last job required before Candy Autobody became an ICBC C.A.R Shop. We are so proud to have been a part of that journey with Steve and Linda. How can an auto repair be so epic you ask? Well, when you are passionate about cars (we own 3 Jeeps) you learn to appreciate and value those who share that same passion. Steve & Linda at Candy Autobody are not your typical owners -- they really do provide an extremely high level of quality, honest, and genuine service. I have no doubt in my heart that if I took our Commander anywhere else it would have been left with a slew of undetected damage... not to mention a far inferior paint job! Our other 2 Jeeps are now scheduled to visit Steve in the next few months for one reason or another. They have earned our business. Thinking about trying them out? Want to talk more about my experience with them? Please feel free to reach out to me any time. I'll give you candid answers to anything you want to know. Candy Autobody is the real deal; no nonsense, no cutting corners, and nothing less than a quality job! STEV
