Bodega Ridge is a picturesque wedding and vacation destination located in the Pacific Northwest rainforest. This serene and cozy retreat offers a variety of accommodations, including newly renovated cove cabins with a chic ambiance and Ridge cabins with a more rustic, cozy feel. Guests can enjoy heated floors in the bathroom and a wood stove, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere perfect for cozying up with a mug of tea. The venue and ceremony site are absolutely stunning, with the property being massive and allowing guests to feel as if they have the entire island to themselves. Couples who have tied the knot at Bodega Ridge have raved about the exceptional service, highlighting the friendly staff and accommodating event coordinators who ensure every detail is taken care of. The food has received high praise, particularly for the delicious paella, lamb, and hanger steak, with many guests stating it is the best wedding food they have ever had. Bodega Ridge is an ideal destination for families, with ample space for children to play, as well as for weddings, offering the opportunity for the entire wedding party to stay on-site and celebrate into the late hours. Recently, a new cafe, the Pink Geranium, has opened nearby, adding to the charm of the area. Overall, Bodega Ridge is a serene, beautiful, and well-appointed venue that provides an unforgettable experience for all who visit.
Sometimes as Event Planners you win the lottery with a venue. Our happy couple chose Bodega Ridge from across the country via images and local friends scouting it out. That’s faith and the end result was a million X worth it. The grounds are rustic, charming and full of interesting features. From the individual cabins to a waddling welcome of geese the atmosphere will delight all of your senses. Our wedding ceremony was perfectly located to provide a breathtaking ocean and mountain backdrop. From the sneak peek of images we received from the photographers (Page and Holmes Photography) the pictures will forever hold the beauty of this stunning ceremony. Special shout out to the venue staff who seemed to have a “no problem” answer to any challenges and were extremely welcoming. The family style service of carefully selected and lovingly prepared local cuisine was beyond exceptional. The main lodge is perfectly suited to any type of gathering from intimate spaces to a gorgeous covered dining tent and finally open patio strung with twinkling lights. Whatever your vision/event you simply cannot go wrong with this space! Insider tip~a quick walk up the hill will reward you with a colour soaked flower garden and you may just be inspected by a curious goat or two. After getting engaged and deciding that we wanted to host our wedding on Vancouver Island, we came across ‘Bodega Ridge’ and set up a tour of the venue. From the time we arrived on Galiano Island, there was a sense that we had found a very special place that would carry with it a number of memories and return visits! This was further confirmed by our experience on the property, where a vision of what our wedding day would look like was described. From the ceremony site overlooking the Trincomali Channel, to the spaces allocated for dining and celebrating, and the cozy cabins in a tranquil setting surrounded by nature, we had discovered a spot that suited us perfectly! As the excitement towards our day built and plans came together, we couldn’t have asked for a more relaxed setting for the most enjoyable wedding experience. Following our rehearsal, we were met with the most incredible mai tai cocktails, and a room so beautifully set for a family-style meal. The variety and flavours were incredible, as were the staff involved in catering our evening. The accessibility of the property is also a bonus, allowing family and friends to come together for events such as ours, settle into their cabins, and enjoy the food and festivities without needing to travel too far once you’ve arrived. We would highly recommend Bodega Ridge as both a wedding venue, and a spot to escape for a quiet weekend to reset. We thoroughly enjoyed the property, and the hospitality offered here!
