I had a great customer interaction with Delta Truck& Trailer. I wanted a VIN attached to my homebuilt utility trailer. I called three ICBC-licensed 'inspection facilities' in the Delta BC area to learn price and availability for the service. These were generally automotive shops. The common response was 'Well I think we can do it....not sure how much to charge' Not confidence-inspiring. Eventually reached Chuck at Truck& Trailer, and got an entire lesson on trailer VIN regulation and ICBC procedures. I filled out my ICBC forms, paid ICBC my $25, and waited for the little metal tag to arrive at the shop. Took my trailer in and Chuck had a technician attach the tag by drilling and riveting the tag to the frame. Chuck advised that an inspection was not required for a trailer under 1400kg, so no charge for an inspection. Chuck completed his side of the ICBC forms, made a copy for me. I went in to pay for the service, or just leave a tip, and Chuck said 'No charge'. Finally, a good, honest, and *knowledgeable* company...
