I came to Dr. Chaney under very rare circumstances. I had past experiences that left me less than trusting towards the field. Shauna, his receptionist, connected with me right away, and addressed all my apprehensions. I can admit, I probably wasn't the easiest patient....as I educated myself about my condition, and advocated for myself. Dr. Chaney took all the time I needed, addressed my concerns, apprehensions, even fears...he never once rushed me. He planned out my whole procedure with me, made sure I understood the risks involved, answered all my questions, and never made me feel belittled, or not listened to. Excellent bedside manner. Made me at ease for my surgery and surprised me with a check in before I was discharged. Extremely helpful with follow questions and gave me suggestions on recovery aides. If you are unfortunate and require emergency surgery, consider yourself lucky to get this surgeon!
