Great people to deal with. Had to come up from Duncan to find out! EDIT: Dec. 5, 2023: Although the above (written in June, 2023) is referring to the sales staff (very friendly) "the rest of the story" is not so cheerful and bright. Here it is in my husband's own words: (edited for brevity) ATTENTION: GENERAL MANAGER - Darren Irving Dear Mr. Irving, On June 23, 2023 I purchased a 2017 Dodge Journey from your dealership. To put it mildly, my experience on certain issues were rather upsetting. From this I have the distinct impression that you do not service your trade-ins very well; that they are only detailed so they look good on the lot. My issues with you are as follows: 1) The passenger door lock, as we discovered when we were well away from Campbell River, was non-functioning. It required two round trips, a total of 800 km between Duncan and Campbell River, in order to get it fixed, then put through MY OWN INSURANCE. It was actually your responsibility to fix and pay for it. 2) My trade-in had NEW tires. Two weeks after the purchase the Journey began shimmying, so I took it to my local OK Tire to get the tires checked. They discovered that the existing tires were sub-par and would not even pass inspection. This is completely unacceptable and a serious safety issue. 3) I took the car in for its first service on Nov. 22, 2023. Judging from the amount of dirt, bugs, and butterflies that clogged the air filter, and the cabin filter, which was also extremely dirty - too much to have accumulated in the short five month period I had it - I’m quite certain that both air filters were never looked at. In all three of these points you should have picked up on these issues, and ensured that the vehicle was in good condition and safe to drive BEFORE putting it up for sale. All this reflects poorly on you. I’m very disappointed, and I would not recommend Bill Howich Chrysler to anyone. Regards, William E. Mossman
This is the friendliest, most accommodating and by far the best experience with a dealership, we have ever had. Erica and Xen were absolutely amazing to deal with. They went above and beyond for us.
