About The Wilde Haven Spa

The Wilde Haven Spa, located beneath Thunder Mountain in Sedona, offers a unique resort spa experience rooted in local healing traditions. Guests can enjoy outdoor hot tubs, beautifully landscaped seating areas, and a comprehensive menu that includes specialty bodywork, Sedona-inspired massages, meditation, wellness classes, and yoga nidra with sound bowl healing. While many guests appreciate the relaxing massages and clean facilities, there are notable concerns regarding customer service. Some visitors experienced delays and issues with reservations, including canceled appointments without adequate resolution from the front desk staff. The management's communication has been criticized for being pushy and rude, which detracted from the overall experience. However, guests have praised the skills of the massage therapists, noting that their services were exceptional despite the booking challenges. The Wilde Haven Spa has potential for improvement, particularly in customer service and attention to detail during experiences such as the twin flame rose petal candlelit bath. Though some found aspects of this service underwhelming, others left feeling rejuvenated and satisfied, especially after treatments from skilled therapists like Diane and Lisa. Overall, while the spa offers excellent treatments, enhancing customer service could elevate the experience for future guests.

Giving this 3 stars instead of less because Lisa did an exceptional job with my massage. Price doesn’t match the quality. George needs to work on his customer service skills. He misscharged my tip which I already put a generous 20 percent. He acted like it was a huge Inconvenience that he had to correct it (I’m sorry but that’s the $ I told you to put) they’re a little pushy to add that. I thought we had it resolved and I went to check out of my hotel and the concierge informed me I had been double charged. $200 spa experience didn’t match to me in my opinion. For that price your customer service needs to be 5 stars.

Appreciate the nice towels, steam...read full review

The good: The massage felt very nice and relaxing, the facilities are clean and you can stay as long as you need. The bad: We waited about 10-15 minutes for someone to show up and help us, so we were a bit rushed to change before our appointment that says to show up 15 minutes prior. The twin flame rose petal candlelit bath was very underwhelming. From the description, I was under the impression the bath would be filled with rose petals and it would be a dark, candlelit bath. The lights were on, the windows open so people could see us if they were outside, there was one candle and the roses were on top on the bath and on the table. For $700 for a total of 90 mins, I would think it would be a little grander than this. I wrote down that we were celebrating getting married in the questionnaire and we were not offered anything. From other spas I've been to where I received birthday massages and an engagement massage that had a little cheese or truffle plate that said "happy birthday" or "congrats" which was such a nice, small gesture. We were also told that we'd be given 5 minutes to dry off and change to what we needed to for the massage after the bath. The door was knocked about 3 times asking if we were ready after about 2 minutes and I felt more stressed than relaxed. There were also no snacks offered. This has the potential to be a nicer experience with much needed customer service improvements.

I really wish that I could give more stars, but I just can't. In a town like Sedona, the entire industry is tourism and golf so you'd assume these places have great customer service. Well, that's not completely accurate. My friends and I had a really hard time making reservations for for this place, they didn't answer the phone regularly, you can't make online reservations and when you do get in contact with someone, it's not an easy conversation to get through. When we arrived, one of my friend's reservation was cancelled. There was no concern, problem solving or remorse from the front desk staff for the mistake they made. We asked to speak to a manager, but the manager wasn't going to be there that day. The masseuse's overheard and were very apologetic, but there was nothing that they could do to help. One of our friends had two services so she gave up her massage for our friends whose appointment was cancelled. We were all frustrated and tried to dust it off to enjoy our time. The masseuse's talked to another front desk staff who arrived later and that prompted them to ask another masseuse to come in to give my friend a service. I will say, all of our services were amazing, but when again, when you're in a tourist town, and paying tourist prices, the customer service expectation is much higher. I hope others don't get this same service, but unfortunately, I would not recommend.
