I completed Ricky's Intensive Outpatient Program about two and a half weeks ago. Learning how to manage my OCD has been a marvelous process. I am so thankful to have been taught by Ricky how to interact with my OCD! He taught me how to take my power back within my own mind. Also, on a neurological level, I have learned how this condition affects thoughts. I also learned how to face fears that would have given me panic attacks before (I now live with these things as somewhat regular parts of my day, and I feel little to no anxiety). We can not possibly express enough gratitude for the Gateway Institute in Scottsdale. From the moment of first correspondence with Sharon, we knew that our daughter would be in excellent hands. Her therapist, Rachel, was outstanding and proved that we had found the perfect place for our daughter's OCD/anxiety Intensive treatment. The care and genuine concern for our daughter was evident from the first phone call until the last day of her treatment. They truly saved our daughter's life and brought back the beautiful person she is- she is no longer controlled by this mental health disease. Therapy at the Gateway Institute has changed my life! From my very first consult until now, 6 months later, I have felt very much in a safe, judgement free environment where I was finally understood. My therapy with Rachel has been specific to my personal issues. I’ve been given a set of lifelong skills to help me move forward with OCD on better terms, MY terms.
