BRIDES RUN FAR FAR AWAY from their Denver location. If you are currently having your dress altered here, take your dress, lose your money and find a new seamstress - I am begging you!!! You may end up here like us for 8+ hours of "fittings" the week of your wedding with a dress that's basically ruined... Look at the dates on the other reviews here, we are suspicious that the good reviews are based on people and experiences who no longer work at TIW. The seamstresses here are either incredibly new at their careers, or very unskilled, or both. I had the absolute worst time seeing this company torture my best friend, the bride, over 8+ fittings and 3 failed pickup dates that turned into a never ending nightmare of ripping out seams and boning and frantically trying to fix their mistakes over and over and over again. With each attempt to do what they claimed they could do from the beginning, her dress became more and more butchered and honestly was unsalvageable in my opinion. She accepted defeat two days before her wedding and left with an absolutely UNACCEPTABLY "tailored" dress. Here options are either find a last minute dress online or hope that the photographer can photoshop her awful tailoring after the fact. Did I mention TIW charged her over $1000 at the beginning for what seemed to be simple changes (ones that they either couldn't do, or did so poorly there is bunching and puckering all around the parts they touched), added an extra $300 upcharge mid-way through without the bride's permission and then gaslit her by telling her it was discussed with her (when it 100% was NOT) and then decided to blame the seamstress for not telling her the price, but ultimately said there was nothing they could do to eliminate the the full extra charge...??? On top of that, instead of agreeing with the issues that we pointed out in the process, the seamstress and manager just constantly BLAMED the dress and fabric for their clear mistakes throughout. It was infuriating. I brought up several red flags to the manager, Allie and the seamstress during her 3rd to last fitting. We were fed some insane word salad that "they strive for perfection and are just as committed to it as we are!" and "no worries at all, we will get it done no problem." It wasn't until her 2nd pickup day that Allie changed her tune, became incredibly apologetic and very nice (which we greatly appreciated because I think all of us were almost in tears), opened her eyes to the problem and brought in the owner and expert seamstresses via FaceTime from other branches to DESPERATELY figure out a solution to salvage the dress. Any company that A.) puts a bride through this, B.) cannot fulfill on the services agreed to in a contract and C.) destroys a dress in the process should give a client AT LEAST a 100% refund for the "tailoring work" AND do what any excellent business would do: write the bride a check for her dress that they destroyed. I am begging this company to do both of these things after reading my review. The only silver lining so far is that she didn't have to pay the aforementioned up-charge before taking her dress home... I am appalled and I am heartbroken for my sweet and kind friend. This business should be absolutely ashamed of themselves and held accountable.
I hate that I even have to leave one star to make a review. No words are needed I think the screenshot speaks for itself. Same day cancellation without an initial explanation on a client with a wedding in 38 days. That just made every brides nightmare a reality. Delayed email responses and same day cancellation due to poor scheduling. DO NOT RECOMMEND. To those who had a good experience, you were lucky.
The Team is simply amazing! They are all so sweet and easy to work with and put up with my nitpicking. My daughter’s dress was perfect, and mine was too! These ladies are the best!
