I am really not sure what has happened here. I had a horrible experience with Jodi Salvatore doing my hair and she has now berated and insulted me via Yelp. I had my color adjusted and also a Brazilian by another stylist during this past two weeks, in addition to leaving coconut oil and treatments in my hair in an attempt to fix my broken hair. I am not sure why she so unprofessionally responded on a public forum when I was done. I nicely paid my bill before I left, I told her during my appointment that I did not like the color and that it was breaking, and when I has due 2 weeks later die a touch up, I , within 24 hours of my appointment, told her I would not be coming back. I did not stand her up, I let her know. She responded once to the first text I sent and then. Locked me. She never gave me a refund and has never taken responsibility. I am not an expert on hair, that's why I pay someone who supposedly is. Maybe at one time she was. I never asked to be blonde or for her to do what she did but I trusted her. Perhaps her memory isn't as good as mine bc she was so preoccupied and overwhelmed with her work schedule and that the owner had not renewed the building lease. She 100% ate her lunch while I was under the dryer. She put dressing in the container, shook it up and ate it, she also ate at the start of my session stating that she hadn't eaten all day. I did sit under the dryer for about 45 m with the foils on and then again with them off so she could put some darker foils in the fix her mistake. Firming this time, Jodi ate her salad... put dressing in and while the container and ate it while she was in her phone. She never once acknowledged that anything had gone wrong... everyone makes mistakes... I get that. Own it and make it right!! I had been going to the same stylist in NY for the past 11 years... not one bad hair day! I let her know that while I was under the dryer the second time ( while she applied an entire head of highlights on another client) that my hair was breaking off. She said she saw and that mush be the blonde pieces I previously had. Why would they break. It continued to break and as the glaze washed out... the Orange was back. She asked why I didn't have her fix it. She attempted to fix it that day.... 5 hours!!! Ehh would I go back? She did not fix it, give me advice, or tell me the process. I have screen shots too! And I didn't give her a tip bc #1 definition of tip: gift or a sum of money tendered for a service performed or anticipated : gratuity. I was not happy with my service, Modern Love guarantees satisfaction, I did not question the amount owed... charging me to do two sets of foils. How would I have known that..she is the expert. I didn't question her about the price but also didn't tip bc she is an independent worker... the owner of her station. Owners normally do not accept tips what I had to say initially was said and this would have been done if she had not reposted as she did. Her response is appalling. I am happy with the new stylist I found today who was label to fix my hair. Jodi only wrote another reasons after seeing the glowing one he received. She did just send me $100 refund

I have thick hair and had a hard time finding someone to know how to work with it. Jodi is amazing, she gives me the best haircuts and knows just how to color to not only bring out the beauty of the cut but works so well with my skin tone!! Love her!Services: Haircut

Jodi is excellent. She is the best stylist I've had in 30 years. She is very detailed and on top of that a great person. I've had several people ask me where I get my haircuts. Best advice is I'd highly suggest Jodi for men's haircuts.
