Played both courses now and the condition is bar far the best I’ve played on. Hate playing in the uk after this experience. Staff in the pro shop were very helpful. Talon is shorted and more technical compared to the longer and straighter raptor course. Practice greens and chipping area etc are brilliant to warm up on.
Nice course. I would say overall I had a great day. I would be hesitant about going in the water again. I was riding high until I went into the water. Keith had advised me not to, but I didn't listen, and we ended up bickering for a bit. I was worried it was going to put a damper on the day, but we didn't let our emotions get the best of us. The course is nice. The tees and sand are excellently maintained. Great atmosphere.
Love both the Raptor and Talon. Raptor’s got those big, strategic greens that really make you think, and Talon’s views of the McDowells? Chef’s kiss. The food and gear at Phil’s Grill and Isabella’s are extras that hit the spot after a round.
