This law firm is nothing but ethical, helpful and empathetic. I greatly appreciate everything they've done for me and when I read that I had no choice but to give the facts in regard to client attorney confidentiality:
Yes, it still applies. Privilege generally covers the initial consultation even if the attorney never takes the case or signs a contract. As long as you shared information for the purpose of seeking legal advice, the lawyer is ethically bound to keep that information confidential.
