I pursued having SCP Weldz do a project for me at my new home. They were recommended by my builder, had great reviews, and did seemingly quality work. The latter, which I still believe today… We got off to a great start: -Ashley was very communicative-albeit it took days sometimes for a response -One of the son’s came out to Maricopa to measure for fencing-he was respectful, honest, down to earth, and seemed very competent - Ashley went the extra mile (patiently so) with several variations of estimates, scopes, and changes- We came to an agreement, and I signed a contract with deposit on January 10th Then: -No date was given for install -I worked through my builder for this for weeks -A month later Ashley asks me for measurements for the project -I decline and ask for a pre-site for her team to do the measurements (Shade structure, A/C & Side yard fencing) -She tells me they don’t have time because they just got back from Lake Havasu -She tells me Maricopa is far-I offer to pay for gas -I let her know I’m not comfortable with this and they should be doing a pre-site -I offer a solution and she states she will call me back. I don’t hear from her for another two days (there’s urgency now because I’m moving in with dogs that need to be contained) - I write her an email on February 16th asking if they still wanted the job and cite the reasons for giving SCP an out -She replies with all caps in her email (never done this before) giving mandates and edicts. She writes again with, CALL ME this afternoon. That’s yelling in email, I think… -She ignores my request again for a pre-site and justifies it by getting measurements from my builder without me there - I call her. I do so expecting her to humble herself and take some sort of ownership and responsibility. Nope-she blew a gasket on the phone. Would’ve been a good one to record… -She then ran my name through the mud with my builder-fabricating the story because she has interest in other business through him The pressures of life and owning/operating a small business are immense. I’ve been there. Bad days are real. I have them. I think she was having one. When we do and we lose our bearing, the only narrow way up is to own it. *Solution-simple-Ashley apologizes for going off in her emails and her shortcomings in the communication, planning, and processes of our job, and we move on. We’d have SCP Weldz’s work stamped on our property, and I wouldn’t be writing this. Thankfully, I found Jeb Olson with Stick-em up fencing, who did a beautiful job at a more reasonable price. We get compliments regularly. He maintained a level of respect and professionalism throughout as well, amidst his mistakes.

Our courtyard is featured in the videos. We didn't want an ugly cookie-cutter solution. SCP Weldz worked with us to help implement our design and create something we would be happy with. They have earned our business and will be starting a second project with us soon. We look forward to other projects down the road.
