About Soldiers Best Friend

Soldier’s Best Friend is a organization that helps U.S. military veterans with PTSD or TBI by providing them with Service or Therapeutic Companion Dogs. Most of these dogs are rescued from local shelters, and the veterans and dogs train together to build trusting relationships. Many veterans have experienced positive changes, such as feeling safer in public and gaining confidence to leave the house, shop, or visit loved ones. The trainers are knowledgeable and work closely with veterans to ensure their dogs effectively assist them. Events like vaccination clinics and community gatherings are also held to support veterans and their dogs. Overall, Soldier’s Best Friend is highly recommended for its life-changing work in helping veterans and rescued dogs form meaningful bonds that improve quality of life.

The volunteers were amazing with our grand puppy Luci! He usually barks and doesn’t like people touching him too much that he doesn’t know? Especially when they want to give him a shot or take his temperature “you know where” but he felt safe and was happy! They helped us get his vaccines that he needed.

I have personally seen and experienced the changes Soldiers Best Friend has made in the Veterans life and the rescued dogs. Veterans that normally wouldn't leave the house, go shopping or visit family or friends. To feeling safe in public due to having that dog that always has their back. I highly recommend SBF and suggest attending a graduation to see and hear first hand how they change lives. .
