Allow me to chime in with the other one star reviews and just say this is one of the worst run companies on the planet. Customer service consists of an overseas person that struggles with the language and can give you virtually no information. When I switched over to Medicare, along with a supplemental insurance in 2022, I let Apria know about the change. All of a sudden, six months later, I get a call from them saying I have a past due balance of $450. No explanation. I look at the statement and they failed to change my insurance. Also, there is no way I spent $450 on CPAP supplies in six months. By the way, the machine is paid off, the $450 was for the usual supplies! Called them to straighten it out, got a person that could not even comprehend what I was trying to tell them. Still unresolved. Avoid doing business with this company if at all possible.

Their customer service is terrible. You have to navigate through multiple automated menu selections that repetitively remind you that you can go to the website and that you may be recorded. Once you finally get To the correct destination, you are always put on hold, usually for several minutes too much longer. They don't give you an option for them to call you back. When customer service reaches out to you, they call often from personal cell phones or other numbers not publicly posted, so if you screen your calls, you don't answer their call. Then they leave you a message asking you to call them on their 800 number or their local office number and you end up in the same automated response Hell. And, of course, the people that leave messages, for you say their name so quickly and with a heavy accent that the name is unintelligible.

Apria wasn’t my provider’s (or more than likely, UHC’s) first choice. After being given the run-around from ‘preferred homecare’ for over fifteen days, I insisted they find me someone else. (I also told them about their 1-star rating with over 150 reviews on Google)Apria responded within 12 hours, and got me the equipment I needed (shipped across the country) within 72 hours. They then did a follow-up with me. I called my provider back and highly recommended they make Apria their first choice for referrals going forward. I couldn’t be happier with the service I received from Apria. And ‘preferred homecare’ can bite me!
