Since its establishment in 1992, the Society has provided low-cost spaying, neutering, and medical care for thousands of cats and dogs, including strays and owned pets. The staff is praised for their extraordinary care and kindness, treating animals with the utmost respect. Visitors have noted the friendly and attentive nature of the team, who listen to concerns and provide valuable assistance. The clinic operates mainly on donations, ensuring that no animal goes without necessary care. Although the facility is only open on Thursdays and access can be challenging, many appreciate the quality of service and the dedication of the veterinary staff. The Society encourages local pet owners to sterilize their animals by offering partial funding for spay and neuter fees. For feral animals, they cover the entire cost. The Jerome Humane Society remains a vital resource for the community, demonstrating a commitment to animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.
Your services are extraordinary! Thank you so much for saving my little dog from blocked intestines after she swallowed whole pistachios. I was able to hold her while Dr. Virginia preformed a procedure to remove them without surgery that saved her life. The love and care you always provide is superior. Thank you so much! They cared for my stray like she a was a queen when I found her a year and 1/2 ago. I had to take her back for shot up dates. So many helpers and everyone is so friendly...and they listen yo you. Great place for shots sand sprays and neutors. Only problem is that they are only there on Thursdays and the short dirt road is very rough. Vet is very good!!!!❤?❤
What a great place! We stopped in while visiting Jerome so we could see if there were any animals that might need some love. While they aren't a holding facility, the veterinarian was kind and gave us a little tour of the facility. They work off donations mostly, and they make every penny count. They have a great clinic! And they work off of one rule: no animal goes without care. They figure it out one way or another. We left a donation and hope those who see this review do too.
