Stripes Urgent Care

Was hurt in a hiking accident out in Peralta Trail area. Arrived at Peralta Urgent Care in Gold Canyon because close to area. Felt lucky the waiting room was empty. Waited a bit then was taken to the exam room. The Dr came in and examined and said needed stitches. No xray was offered. Cleaned the wound then used 4-5 needles to numb the top of knee, hurt a bit but expected then she started to do the stitches and the pain was crazy bad. The numbing didn't take effect or she didn't wait long enough. I can take pain but those 3 stitches hurt like heck. Should have had a piece of leather to bite on to. Later when I changed the bandage, those stitches looked big and ugly. I...read full review
Disappointed that they didn't have x-ray capability though their Google info says they do. I was told that we could go to ER to evaluate lungs for possible pneumonia. Otherwise, the facility was clean, the staff and provider extremely efficient and helpful!
This urgent care is way better than stripes urgent care. The lady was so much nicer and caring. I would recommend you go here instead of stripes. They make you pay $40 just to fill out a sheet. That is the bad part about this, but it's better then stripes.
