Peralta Urgent Care

Was hurt in a hiking accident out in Peralta Trail area. Arrived at Peralta Urgent Care in Gold Canyon because close to area. Felt lucky the waiting room was empty. Waited a bit then was taken to the exam room. The Dr came in and examined and said needed stitches. No xray was offered. Cleaned the wound then used 4-5 needles to numb the top of knee, hurt a bit but expected then she started to do the stitches and the pain was crazy bad. The numbing didn't take effect or she didn't wait long enough. I can take pain but those 3 stitches hurt like heck. Should have had a piece of leather to bite on to. Disappointed that they didn't have x-ray capability though their Google info says they do. I was told that we could go to ER to evaluate lungs for possible pneumonia. Otherwise, the facility was clean, the staff and provider extremely efficient and helpful!

This urgent care was by far the best experience I have had in a long time. It was fast and I felt listened to. Often I go to urgent care feeling like I wasted time and money but not here! I was treated and cared for as an individual not pushed through with a tired line and lecture about the use of antibiotics. I will be back if I should need care again.
