“The owners, Mark & Cindy, are not just business people, they are compassionate about the customers they serve and the care they provide. I had used them for my wife, a couple of times, and we were both very happy. The Aides that are sent to the house are vetted, bonded & insured, not just someone they hire off the street. The Aides that came over for us, Heather & Diane were fabulous. You could just see and feel they cared about my wife and her issues. “NPLHC is NOT a good place to work, do not work here. The owner Denise is highly unprofessional and treats employees like garbage, she will waste your time, money and gas. She calls at the last minute asking to pick up shifts, if you do not pick up the shift she will retaliate and take away your hours for the next week, If you disagree with her in the slightest bit she will fire you. It is her way or the highway, no respect or human decency she only cares about herself, Denise does not care if you have a family of your own to take care of. Any gas used is paid for out of pocket. She does have her favorites, only the employees she actually likes will get paid for mileage be careful though! “I am a caregiver, I have worked for a few services in my life time. I currently work for comfort keepers. I will say there are good and bad caregivers out there. I like to think I am one of the good ones. I am sorry for the clients that end up with a caregiver that did not do what was expected of them. Did you explain to your caregiver right off what she was suppose to do? I personally ask the client what needs to be done, how do they want it done and before I leave I ask if there is anything else I can do or get for them. I take care of my assigned client only, not there family or there friends. I do not do extra chores for there extended family unless it is part of the care plan. Now with that being said, I have had clients that have had me jumping around like a Mexican jumping bean waiting on them, cleaning for them and even moving them around every 5 minutes for 8 to 12 hours straight. they have exhausted me to the point that I had to set down and explained to them that I was not a robot! I have had verbally and physically abusive clients, I have had clients tell me not to worry about the housekeeping and to just set and keep them company then turn around and tell my company I was lazy! so please tell your caregiver what is expected and for gods sake, be understanding if we do set for a while to rest after the chores are done! caregivers should not reflect the company if they are lazy, the company does not know this till you tell them. Along with telling your caregiver what to do, show them how you like it done, we are not mind readers and we can only clean how we ourselves do it at our home.“

“I live in California and my daughter lives in Arizona. She took a bad fall and has absolutely no one there to assist her in any way. I was at a true loss and frantically called and left messages for an agency to just call me back to discuss how I could acquire services. Several agencies flat out stated they don't do anything short term. Most just never returned my calls or messages. Until "Tender Heart". A very nice man, Ray, returned my call and was quick to understand my needs. I cannot tell you my relief that indeed my daughter can get the services she needs. I feel so hopeful now where last night I was so upset and desperate. If you need these kinds of services, you really need to read the amazing list of services they can provide.
