There nowhere else I’d rather take a sick animal that midtown. Absolutely recommend.
The team at Midtown are everything you'd hope for in a hometown veterinary clinic. From the front desk to the veterinarians, to the back of house taking care of diagnostics, I have been very pleased with the whole care team. This is a professional group with consistent communication and knowledgeable staff. Support your local veterinarians!
Midtown is by far the most compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable vet clinic in Flagstaff. The entire staff is super friendly and amazing with all animals, and Dr. MacKenzie in particular is a fantastic veterinarian. My family and I have been taking our animals to him for many years now and he has consistently proven that he always has your pet's well being as his highest priority. In times of medical crisis he has never recommended euthanasia as the first or only option, as some vets are prone to do, and he actively encourages his clients to source medications and supplements through means other than his office to save money, as he is not out to profit off of pharmaceuticals. When my dog developed environmental allergies he was quick to tell me that I could cut and dose OTC benadryl for her instead of paying increased prices for the same anti-histamine sold for dogs. When she had kidney problems late in life, and when I finally had to say goodbye, he was amazingly empathetic and compassionate. I got a couple more years with her than I might have with another vet when we modified her diet and lifestyle after an emergency with her kidneys, and when it was her time to go he gave clear options and realistic outcomes to me. He did not try and push me in any direction and would have been happy to take action to give us a little more time, but was honest when I asked what would be better for her, not me, and was so unbelievably great during the whole process of having to let her go. He is now the vet for my new puppy and all of the staff have been great with her as well. I highly recommend taking all of your pets to Dr. MacKenzie, or any of the other vets and staff at Midtown!
