I was here to visit family (my brother works here). But I was impressed with the facility. There are cabins for the researchers/ volunteers to stay in and they are really nice. The area is beautiful, the road a little primitive, but we made it fine in a minivan.

There are 8,000 acres of land so it is every so quiet of people, music and car/truck noise. The beautiful sounds are birds, crickets and creatures. The sky at night was black with the most brilliant stars I've ever witnessed. We stayed in the Ranch house which contained 5 bedrooms with double occupancy and 3 shared bathrooms. The kitchen is fully stocked with spices, teas, flatware, dishes, coffee machine, microwave, full frig etc. The price to stay and share a room was $40 a night( wow) and it all was like a donation to the Nature Conservancy, oh and an extra $10 was for bedsheets and towels for the whole stay ( and worth not dragging).
