“I had a scalp treatment with Sam at Spellbound Beauty Lounge today, and the entire experience was exceptional.

Sam is incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, and passionate about what she does. What impressed me most was how much education she incorporated into the experience. She explained the principles behind Ayurvedic hair and scalp care, talked through how things like diet, hydration, daily habits, and overall wellness can influence the condition of our hair, scalp, and skin, and gave me practical things to think about moving forward.

I really appreciated her whole-system approach. In my own profession, I spend a lot of time explaining that you can’t properly care for a tree by looking at one symptom in isolation. You have to understand the soil, water, environment, biology, and the entire system supporting it. There was something pretty cool about being on the receiving end of that same philosophy.

The studio itself is an experience too. It’s incredibly unique, with this eclectic, almost mystical character to it, but it still feels warm, comfortable, and genuinely inviting. You can tell a lot of thought and personality went into creating the space, and it fits what Sam does perfectly.

Beyond being informative, the treatment itself was incredibly relaxing. Sam took her time, explained what she was doing and why, answered my questions, and created an environment where I never felt rushed. I walked out feeling relaxed, better informed, and much more confident about how to care for my hair and scalp going forward.

This is exactly the kind of locally owned small business I love supporting: someone who has clearly invested deeply in her craft, genuinely cares about the people she works with, and wants her clients to leave with more than just a service.
