About Agave Highlands
Agave Highlands is an 18-hole golf course located in Cornville, AZ, in the scenic Verde Valley. It offers beautiful views of the Mingus Mountain range and the Black Hills, featuring four lakes and natural arroyos. Players have described the fairways as open but note that they can be rough in some areas, with several bare spots. Despite this, many find the course challenging and fun, especially during the summer. The staff is recognized for being helpful and courteous. The restaurant, Lalo's, provides a variety of dishes, including fish and chips and black bean burgers, and is noted to be better than expected, with friendly service. Though the course is considered a good value, some players feel the prices are on the higher side, with mentions of a $65 rate. After a round, a visit to the Bushwoods bar is recommended for drinks and a welcoming atmosphere, making it a great spot to unwind.
Played this course on local advice and loved it. Played it three days and can’t wait to get back. Great course great people.
It's a nice course. Greens are large, fairways are wide and there are a few challenging holes. It's a great course to relax, enjoy the game and grab a beer with friendly folks back at the clubhouse. If you're looking for lush manicured greens and fairways, keep in mind you're in the desert. However, they ARE reseeding in September so I'm looking forward to that!!
