Rod has successfully helped dogs, including German Shepherds, overcome challenges, transforming their behavior and giving pet owners a sense of freedom and confidence. The training program includes in-home sessions, park outings, and mall visits to ensure dogs receive the most effective training. Rod's calm and confident approach puts both pets and owners at ease while he emphasizes teaching owners how to properly lead their pets. He often corrects and guides them for lasting results. We couldn't be happier with the experience we had with Rodd! Our Doberman spent three weeks with him, and the improvement in her confidence, obedience, and social skills has been incredible. He introduced her to new people, other dogs, and unfamiliar environments by taking her out in public and working through real-world situations. Her obedience is much improved, with reliable commands both on and off leash.

We truly cannot recommend Rod highly enough! He has been amazing with our Great Dane puppy, Boone. Finding someone we could completely trust with such an important stage of Boone’s development meant everything to us, and Rod exceeded every expectation.
What stands out most is how much Rod genuinely cares. He treated Boone like family, celebrated his successes, and invested in helping him become a confident, well-mannered dog. I can’t recommend Cave Creek K9 Training enough! My American Staffordshire Terrier, Daisy, completed their 3-week Board & Train program, and the difference in her confidence and behavior has been incredible. Just as important, it’s obvious how much the staff genuinely cares about every dog in their care.
When I went on vacation, I didn’t hesitate to bring Daisy back for a 9-day stay. She absolutely loves everyone there, and that says more than anything I could write.
