I’ve rode at guest ranches across the Western US. I can truly state the Double R is at the top. ACCOMMODATIONS A+. The casitas are gorgeous, nothing like I’ve stayed in anywhere else. Includes nice sitting room, full kitchen, plus very large bedrooms and full baths DINING A. Every meal was very good. Wholesome food served piping hot. Kudos to Chef Karen, if you’re lucky, you might get her beef Wellington. STAFF A+. Everyone from owners Ron and Trina (owners) to Wil, my wrangler were WONDERFUL. I so enjoyed riding with Wil. Have to give a shout out to Renee from Wisconsin— same name and home state as my wife. HORSES A+++. The entire string is excellent. Well broke and responsive. Haven’t rode better LOCATION A+ Located in the beautiful Sonoita valley adjacent to thousands of acres of State and Federal land. Quiet, scenic, and best of all, only 75 miles from Tuscon. You will not regret a visit to this great facillity. Happy Trails
My husband and I recently went on a sunset ride led by Michael! He was very kind, funny, and friendly! We first met Renee who introduced us to our horses and we were able to brush them so we could get to know them better! Renee then helped us tack up the horses, and she’s also such a kind soul. We had such a great time, beautiful views and we were also able to get some pictures curtesy of Michael!
We took our grandkids (13 and 15 yrs old) to the Double R Ranch today for horseback riding, it was so fun. They do an amazing job, they match you up to a horse of your level and the guides were so friendly and helpful. It was great scenery, and a great trail ride. The horses are well taken care of. Ron, Gary and Hannah we're Amazing! I would highly recommend them if you need to entertain company. They are located in Benson.
