I called because I’m needing a new tax preparer and I wanted to get a rough estimate on how much a basic tax return is and I was told if you need a number start at $300 and go up from there. That is not the way you handle business especially with new customers.
If you’re looking for a tax preparer with whom you will need to follow up with numerous times, and if you like getting fees almost $1000 more than previously quoted, then this is the tax preparer for you!
To be fair, my experience was good to start. Harold seemed genuinely interested in helping. However, when he randomly increased his fee by almost $1000 without an explanation, he fired me as a customer when I asked about the random increase.
