When Jonathan and I were looking for a photographer, we wanted someone with a beautiful style who could bring an artistic perspective to our wedding day, but what we got in April was so much more than that.

April is genuine in a way that immediately made me want to be her best friend. She took the time to really get to know us and because of that, she was able to capture our personalities in a way that felt completely authentic. She is constantly creating new visions and finding inspiration from places and moments you would never expect or notice, and how she incorporates that into her work is just genius.
And then there’s her honesty, which was a god sent. She wasn’t afraid to tell me if I was making weird looks, or if I needed tone down the facial expressions, because well, she just gets it. Of course she wanted to capture our joy and candidness, but she also instinctively knew that I didn’t want to see my nostrils flaring so big you could see my brain in every photo.
