Combat Concepts Academy is a unique training facility focused on modern and functional grappling. It is the only World Champion Rafael Lovato affiliate in the state and offers daily classes for all skill levels, from hobbyists to competitors. The academy features a kids program for ages 3 to 12, teaching self-defense, judo, and jiu-jitsu. In addition, fitness and conditioning group classes are available, along with private sessions by appointment. The instructors are highly praised for their professionalism and skill, creating a welcoming environment that feels like a family. New students can enjoy one free week to experience all that Combat Concepts Academy has to offer.
Honestly it was genuinely great, I was kind of just expecting a typical workout place but the instruction was super clear and the owners actually care. Ive been looking for something like this nearby for a while and now I feel silly I didnt find it sooner. That kind of experience just makes you feel good all day. I cant wait to go back next week.
I don’t live in-state, but this gym feels like a home away from home. The senseis are highly knowledgeable and the gym is full of high-level competitors, including a solid group of high ranked athletes who push you to improve. I’ve learned a ton during my visits and always leave sharper than I came in. Highly recommend this place to locals and anyone traveling through who wants a quality Judo/Jiu-Jitsu gym to keep their skills up.
