This privately owned shelter is the cleanest shelter I've ever been to. The staff love the animal's and it shows. I drove to Mountain View three times to visit the cat's. I live an hour away. I wanted to adopt a cat but wanted to be sure on which one. Drizzle a 7 month old kitten chose me. If you are looking for an animal I highly recommend this shelter. Thank you to everyone at Stone County Humane Society for loving & caring for each animal.
We adopted a 5 month old pup from Stone County Humane Society and she’s thriving in our home. She came to us very well socialized and became fast friends with our other dog. You can tell the team at Stone County go above and beyond to support their adoptive pets. Our pup was well taken care of and came with thorough paperwork from a vet. Deanna was amazing to work with during the adoption process.
Staff are attentive and truly love the animals. They are familiar with the fur-babies in their care and know the personalities. They are open 2 to 5 Monday through Saturday but are available by appointment if you call. The information packet they send home involves name, approximate age, and all health info including neuter/spay date. Was pleased to know that all animals are spayed/neutered before being released to their forever homes.
