The shelter provides detailed information packets, including health records and spay/neuter dates, and all animals are spayed/neutered before adoption. With attentive staff and a welcoming environment, Stone County Humane Society is a recommended destination for those looking to adopt a new furry friend.
Had to swing by while in town visiting it was my first time in and it’s an absolutely great shelter! Very clean, large kennels & yard space for the dogs & the cats were very happy & chill! I work at an animal shelter myself & really loved their facility.
The staff truly care deeply about the animals in their care and work hard to support a community that often lacks the resources or willingness to help itself. Many of the negative reviews appear to come from frustrated or irresponsible pet owners. Stone County Humane Society is a clean, welcoming facility and remains a bright spot in a town that greatly benefits from their dedication and compassion.
These people are amazing. It's a good clean humane society. People keep dumping cats off at my house, and they have helped me get rid of some of these cats. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you Please donate, they need all the help they can get.
