Stone County Humane Society is by far the cleanest shelter I've ever been in. The animals are taken care of and loved very much. In October of 2024 I adopted the sweetest kitten from this shelter named Tommy. went three times to visit before I knew he was the one. The reason was because all the cat's are very sweet. When you enter the Cat Cottage all the cats come over and want to be loved. Tommy kissed me and I knew he was the one. I'm very much in love with my sweet boy Tommy. If you are looking for a kitty or dog I highly recommend this shelter. All the staff are friendly and they all care. My mom & I plan on going back to visit.
